Heartwarming....but wait

So, I heard this story on the news last night as I was driving home. Now, granted, I know that losing a pet can be hard, and that being homeless is undoubtedly the pits, but here's where I have a problem:

1. This guy has a cell phone. As those of you with cell phones can attest, even the cheapest plans are not cheap, and can run several hundred dollars a year.
2. This guy has a cat to begin with. Animals cost money to take care of. There was an article in the Tri-Valley Herald about a week ago that estimated the annual cost at around $500.

So, this homeless guy, who is collecting social security (your money), and panhandling (again, YOUR money), is spending all his (your) money on his cat and his cell phone...Does anyone else think something is wrong with this picture?

Jason Statham...I sense a theme....

I was standing in the ACTION section of Target's Blu-Rays last night, and noticed that something seemed similar about most of Jason Statham's covers. Let's see if you can spot the theme here...

Lost

Okay, so if you know anyone who watches it, or if you have a Facebook account, you probably know that the season premiere of the final season of Lost was last night. I'll be honest; I didn't watch it. I watched the first three seasons of Lost, and half of season four. I loved the show, but my problem was that every time I watched an episode, I literally felt like I needed to watch every single episode again so that I could make sense of what the heck was going on. I mean, we're flashing forward, we're flashing backward; I almost think it's humanly impossible to recall all the details of this show, and quite frankly, I have better things to do with my time than attempt to remember some tiny thing from Season 1 that is suddenly relevant 5 years later.

Of course, you know at some point I will put all of the seasons on my Netflix instant queue and have a brain-melting marathon. Curiosity...you know?
